Where do you live?
I split my time between Spain and Austria.  I spend the wedding season, summer, in Spain and winter in Austria. Spain is my home and where I do most of my work, but Austria is located in the heart of Europe, it gives me the chance of having many places at a flight distance. I usually Work in Bilbao, Barcelona and Vienna, if you are looking for me as a  wedding photographer outside those places, pelase contact me for transportation rates.

 

Which is your style of photography for weddings?
I like to combine documentary wedding photography/photographic essay with a creative approach creative portraits.

 

What does this mean?
My goal is to show you what you could not see. My job here is to narrate your [big] day with images always keeping myself in the background in order to let you enjoy every moment. I like to capture real and natural moments, smiles and tears, but sometimes I also like to give small directions and/or suggestions either to the couples & to the guests in order to achieve more creative shots.

 

Are you available for “destination weddings”?
Absolutely yes! I love travelling and I will be more than pleased to go wherever you are. You just need to let me know the place and there I will go! At the time of booking I will let you know about all the trip expenses based on the estimation of the price of the flight, car renting (if necessary), and the hotel. I will handle all the booking so you do not have to worry about it. For more information about the prices (flights, accommodation, etc.), just contact me and I will answer all your doubts.

 

Do you travel for engagement sessions as well?
Of course I do. I will be happy to go to your town or to meet you at any destination of your choice. Do not hesitate to contact me for more specific information.

 

What does “complete coverage” really mean?
Exactly that. Unlimited. Capturing the wedding entirely without any time limits, from the preparations to the last dance. The most beautiful day of your life deserves a complete coverage, because the most special moments happen when you less expect them.

 

What about food if you are working with us the whole day?
You are not compelled to feed me. However, a sandwich and a coke are always more than welcome for a recharge.

 

Do you do more than one job per day?
No, I do not. Even in case you just want to have a small coverage of your wedding (about two hours long), you will be my only work for that day. That way I can focus on you and I will not have to worry about the time or if I have to go to another place later on. And if you believe is necessary, I could always stay longer.

 

How much time do you need to take portraits of the couple?
Couple/family sessions usually take between one hour and a half to two hours.

 

Before or after the ceremony?
I particularly recommend to take the portraits once the ceremony is over, just because you will already be married, and believe me, that could be seen in the pictures. Not only you will be relaxed and madly happy, but also, once you look into each other’s eyes and realize: “Oh, my God! We’re MARRIED!” The pictures will capture that moment and that probably will not happen before the ceremony.

 

Do you take group pictures during the wedding?
Yes, I do. I take all the pictures you will expect from a wedding photographer. I consider that it is basic for a wedding reportage to have family and group pictures. But my goal is to go beyond those expectations and provide you with images that will bring you back to those moments and feelings, to that day.

 

How many images will you give us?
That depends on how many hours I will spend with you. The average ranges from 400 to 600 photos for a whole day wedding. Do you do shoot film as well? Yes, I do! There is nothing better than film roll to achieve that magic effect. If you would like part of the session of the couple to be in film, you just have to let me know and I will make a budget. But you have to keep in mind that film is a more expensive and slower process, however the results will always exceed the expectations.

 

Do we need a second photographer or assistant?
I do not usually work with a second photographer. I believe in quality rather than quantity. I like to work creating a direct connection with my clients, so that I can have their attention whenever I need it. That way you do not have to worry about me while I’m working. Having another person around with a big camera and with an even bigger lens may ruin the wedding’s intimacy. It may distract your guests and, generally, it breaks the spontaneity. But only if your wedding is really big, or there are several things happening at the same time, then I will recommend having a second photographer to allow me to focus on you and only you.

 

Do you mind if the guests take pictures during the ceremony?
Of course not! You can tell them to have all the fun they want. BUT, I think it’s better for you and for them to really enjoy the ceremony instead of taking pictures. At the end, that’s why you want me there.

 

Should we meet before the wedding?
I would love to meet you a few days before the wedding; to know each other, have a cup of tea, and tell me a little about yourselves and the wedding. The truth is that most of the couples I take pictures of, hire me without having a face-to-face meeting. I am a pretty fast and clear person, so that I am able to answer most of the questions you may have via email. Still, I will be more than pleased to talk to you by phone or via skype. We can always find a way that you will be happy with!

 

Can I give you a list of images I want you to take?
Right after you contact me I will send you a link to a complete gallery where you could see examples of complete wedding reportages. You will realize that I am a thorough person regarding the details including the dress, jewelry, shoes, flowers, food and decoration. There is no need to give me a list. The only list I will ask for will be the one concerning group pictures, and if you would like me to focus on a special relative.

 

Pre-wedding, post-wedding, trash the dress…
These are words we keep hearing about but we are not sure what exactly mean. “Pre-wedding” is an engagement session, meaning that the pictures of the couple are taken before the wedding. “Post-wedding” alludes to the pictures of the couple with their wedding outfits but in a different day. That is, not the wedding day. There is no stress, no guests, and the session is more enjoyable. “Trash-the-dress” are those sessions in which the wedding dress integrity is not the most important thing. The idea is to create a contrast between the dress and a completely different environment, for instance by the sea, in the forest…

 

What kind of equipment do you use?
I work with a Canon 5D Mark III with the 24-70mm 2.8 II L lens and the 580EXL II flash. I know very well my equipment. I have been working with it for the last years. I like to use the Canon 70-200 2.8 II IS L and a Chinon lens for couple/family pictures. It has a special bokeh. And for analog photographs I use a Hasselbald 205 TCC camera with an 80mm 2.8 T* lens or a 160mm lens. As I said before, quality and comfort over quantity. It’s no use carrying two cameras if you may miss the moment switching between them or trying not to hit anything.

 

Do you have a back-up equipment?
Of course I do. I have all my basic equipment twice.

 

Do you have an alternative plan in case you weren’t able to make it to the wedding?
If by any chance I couldn’t make it to the wedding and take the pictures due to a tragic event, I have a network of wedding photographers I can call to in case of an emergency.

 

Is there a back-up copy of my pictures?
Yes, there is. Immediately right after the wedding all the pictures are safely stored in external hard drive as well as in the cloud.

 

Do you edit the pictures?
Yes, I do. I will edit all the photos personally. All the pictures you will receive will be color corrected, contrast and focus adjusted and ready to print. You will get them in color as well as in black and white.

 

When will my photos be ready?
It takes a while to select, edit, and process all the images after the wedding. I want to make sure that all the selected images tell the story of your wedding. It usually takes from 2 to 4 weeks to send you the galleries.

 

Can we ask you to take care of the printing?
Of course you can! I’d love to take care of your printings! I make use of an amazing small company that takes so much care regarding the copies as much as I do when taking the pictures.

 

What is the process to make the album?
Once the gallery is uploaded you will be able to select your favorite images for the album. I always recommend that the selection for the album is made during the months after the wedding.

 

Which are your prices?
My prices start in 450€, but tell me what you have in mind, and I will love to give you a personalized budget.

 

How can we book?
Great! Fill in the contact questionnaire or send me an email with the date and telling me a little about yourselves and your wedding. I will be pleased to know what you expect from me and what idea you have in mind for your wedding. I will look into availability for your wedding date and I will get in touch with you. Once you have signed the contract and paid the 30% deposit, your booking will be solid.

 

What is your cancellation policy?
Once you have signed the contract, I will book the date for you only and I will not accept other events for that day. For this reason, the first deposit is non-refundable. Nonetheless, we can always change the booking to another date depending on availability.

 

How much time before the wedding should we confirm?
It always depends on the dates. I generally recommend a minimum of three months, though.

 

Do you make video as well?
Nope. I’m just a photographer. A very good one! ;)
